Let me start by saying that some people are perpetually provocative. And when you are around such people, their state of ‘misery’ always steal away your joy and peace.
I have seen people provoked for no reason. Yeah. This is common in relationships. There are times couples are quagmired by provocative statements. The TRUTH is:
LIFE can be messy.
And LOVE can be messy.
Life and Love can mess you up.
There are no guarantees!
You never know where the road leads. You might have great plans for the future. You might have great plans for your life. You might have great plans for your love life, your relationship and your marriage.
But no matter the plans to make life AWEmazing and Wonderful and Loving, you can’t change what the future holds or what lies ahead.
No. You. Can’t.
Hard as you try, you can’t prevent the unexpected surprises that tug at humanity.
And life ends abruptly.
And the spark in love dims and fades unceremoniously.
Life and love cease, ends, at the slightest…provocation. At the slightest mistake.
We don’t know what the future has in store for us, even after trying everything humanly possible to have a good future.
Only God can accurately tell what the future holds for us.
So what goes?
Simple.
Just live in the moment.
Bask in the euphoria of the moment and the times you have to spend with your family and loved ones.
Make it memorable.
Make it interesting.
Make it significant.
Make it unforgettable.
Make it endearing.
Make it passionate.
Make it a worthy experience for everyone.
Why not create quality time this weekend and spend the nights singing lullabies to your kids, playing hide and seek with them and just jumping and running all over the house in sheer delight.
Why not rekindle the spark of love with him/her, kissing, holding hands, looking at each other’s eyes, whispering sweet nothings to the ears of your partner, and just lounging in pure bliss and ecstasy, singing the music of love as you dance in harmony into the dark night.
Live.
Love.
That is Life.

My Views About LOVE:
I believe that LOVE is only complex to blind minds. Even with eyes wide closed you can still feel the murmur, the fragrance, the sound, the magic of love around you. We are humans. We will always misbehave one way or the other either right or wrong in a relationship. But, what will make the relationship last is for one of the partners to overlook the other’s misbehaviour for the sake of love. I don’t joke with people who have a taste for poetry. To all the poetry enthusiasts, I’d say, keep writing ‘cos the world will keep reading too.
I admire the fact that passionate feelings can be expressed through imaginative words in a creative aesthetic style and rhythm.
Unfortunately, Poetry is not accorded the recognition it deserves, especially in African literature. It’s not a genre of literature that is hugely appreciated no doubt, and this can be attributed to its distinctive language. However, with more poets (Africans) rising up, this conception might change in the near future.
So, today, let me honour the Masters of this distinctive art the world over, Poets, who craft words, mould them, weave them together, adding rhythmic beauty to these letters to create a superb gripping effect. 🙂
