so, its been a while since i've posted. here is what is going on,
my brother is here, he has korean. which is ok, he can go fight against the nutjobs with the nukes, i'll take care of the guys that don't mind blowing themselves up.
I'm still pushing through class. i actually got one of the best speaking grades ever. a whole B!!!
- however i'm still shaky, i think what got me on the reading was how the damn questions were put and which answer was more "correct"
lastly its still a little hard for me to believe that i'm actually going to graduate this year... holy crap that is going to feel sooooooo good. i will succeed damn it. honestly though this account might just get put away. honestly i just don't use this anymore. if anything i use myspace and e-mail. if anyone cares you can check those out (jon_m_barnes@hotmail.com)

well i took my numbers test... don't know how I did, and i had my room inspection, which turned out to have only one demerit... today i've got the culture test which i will smack around. then the real game begins tomorrow with the speaking test for flo 102, after that well... it won't be quite as stressful.
shit i'm not even hungry right now... and its almost time for breakfast... this week is getting to me, i've still got evals again tomorrow too.

thats 10 days people... i'm not sure if my grandpa is going to pick me up then or what, he tends to have a few projects going i mean, i'll have money to rent a car and get a hotel if all else fails.
anyways, damn i can't wait... its been what.... a year? well, i gotta finish homework, and e-mail my mom. see you all later. like 2 months and 10 days

ok took my test and did fine except for the speaking... because the damn teacher started using vocab i haven't even been introduced to. geez everyone else was all asking why did you do so bad you speak so well in class. well ya i do, WHEN I KNOW THE VOCAB!!! gah! i got B's on everthing else except transcription, ( i still can't spell a damn thing... actually i can i just made a lot of mistakes) btw B's are really good, let me explain on the english to arabic portion I missed 2 that is a B+ and yes grading here is insane.
I've moved too i'm in the nice air force dorms mmmm yes... lets see what else... i don't know i think thats it for now, later peeps i gotta go do more stuff like study and have a good time when I can.

language day is tomorrow, what that is for everyone who doesn't know is a day off and a bunch of people visiting that base and having a good time with all the festivities, but most importantly its a three day weekend.

ok i took my test. and i passed woot. but damn it the curve SUCKS!!! ok here is the grading scale to get a B- you have to have a 86 or higher... thats right anything below an 86 is a C or worse... ugh... its bullshit. but i guess i really wasn't expecting things to be easy here... suck it up jon, you do this.
lets see what else... oh ya i'm going off post today, in my civs!!! it will be nice to get out. speaking of which i need to get back to the dorm soon for my ride, later everyone.

boss held a pretty damn good party yesterday. even though i couldn't drink i had fun until the end of the night when no one wanted to dance with me. (it gets old real fast dancing by yourself on the dancefloor when everyone else is either with someone else out there or sitting down) and my cds are on thier way! very nice indeed. and next weekend i can leave post and not come back until sunday, not that that matters much. as i don't have a reason for doing that.
btw, thanks jenn for the txt messeges i slept a bit better

ok i will for sure call you tonight heather. damn it is so intense here damn... i know more arabic in 3 weeks, than i've gotten in all my spanish classes that i've ever taken...
i phase up to phase 3 next wednesday, so i'm definitely going to the beach the next weekend, so anyone want to come visit?

i finally got your letter jenn! so i'll send one back soon. i've already got an arabic proverb for ya as well as some other script. but ya it might be a while k? unfortunately i don't have much time some days (like tuesday and thursday when i've got study hall)
relationships... bah.
so i can finally send someone a letter. and hey i'll probably call you tonight heather alright? anyways I need to go get some chow, hopefully a certain female will wise up but *shrug* who knows...

ok the army sucks at keeping the power on at their bases... this wouldn't happen at an air force base. sheesh. and on top of it all it also started an electric fire in ME 1 hahahaha bah, they got out of school all day. anyways, i'm typing this on my new laptop. yes it is so very sweet, however, it sucks up the battery pretty damn fast, i'm already at 60% and i've probably had this on for a couple hours i think, but it is because it is so beasty, i mean it has two fans, a 17" screen and all this other crap. ya it uses the power. anyways i gotta get my homework done now. later folks

One of the airmen here died today. i guess the sinus infection he was fighting for a long time got into his brain. This is my first performance as honor guard. I'm going to be the left guard of the colors at his memorial. It will be perfect.
in other news i'm finally in my civs, and i have a picture phone so i can take pics now! (and send them to people who can recieve them) lets see what else? oh ya i'm getting pretty damn far in arabic. in fact here is some:

ok i don't want to take too much time so I wont elaborate on that. its something along the lines of I'm a soldier (which is thier term for all military members) but i can say a lot more, it is just such a pain in the ass to type without knowing where any letters are...
and we found out about some different scripting options, and you can bet i'm getting a tattoo. god damn. please send letters too, or a txt messege, its the same number as last time. but honestly letters are good because I can't do arabic on the phone. unless i'm talking and none of you know the arabic alphabet, or how to write it so why bother.
and my grandpa is coming with my cds!!! and i need to get that damn laptop. i gotta go get this credit card now to get that later everyone.

i've been reading lj recently, i honestly have no idea what is going on with anyone anymore, I wish I could just fly over there anytime I want, I feel like I can do anything. its amazing what happens to your ego when people off the street thank you, when kids look up to you. i'm not just anyone off the street, this is my god damn potential being lived up to. its been here all along. i'm not done yet though, no where close. I owe it to so many, that little girl that waved at me, her little friend that saluted me. all those freinds and family in the stands that cried at graduation. so many lives...
I want to keep affecting everyone at home. I want to make as much positive change as possible. tell you all what. if you e-mail me your mailing address, I WILL SEND YOU A LETTER. i went to the big px today, and bought some stuff. on the way there we encountered what is known as the weekly protesters they were sitting there at this intersection with u.s. flags upside down and swastikas. hmmmm i think one of them actually had a sign about bush, but i'm positive it was only one. geez people. having an opinion about the president you know is one thing and you have every right to have that. But being disrespectful to the flag... that gets to me a bit, especially when you put swastikas on/by them. ok that was my vent...
i bought a shirt, some shoes, shorts, cologne, and underarmor, that stuff is awesome, luckily I don't look nasty in it, i need to do more sit ups. it is so frustrating being this close to a six pack and yet still not there. bah!
I just need to focus on school right now, let the women folk to what they want to do, it doesn't matter to me anymore.

wow... so much drama goes around here, its like college and high school combined. holy crap. people are stupid as a result at least 2 people are getting dishonorable discharges from last night's escapades, (i have no idea what happened, i wasn't stupid and partaking in said activities) so ya, in case you didn't know thier lives are ruined. a Dishonorable discharge will ensure you never being accepted into any respectable job, or college, you might be able to work in fast food or a restaurant, maybe... and also there is lots of relationship issues everywhere, oh my god some people are stupid... anyways
yesterday was a bad day. it was one of those days where when people are kidding with you but you start to take things seriously, its like getting worn down, i need an ego boost. i need to do some more honor guard, my black rope looks good on me. i've got this awsome order arms down almost, and i've got the marine corp pitchout down too. I guess we are starting to do more practice because there is an event coming up that we are perfoming in. so wish me luck if i happen to be a part of it.
lets see what else, oh ya, bro if you are reading this send me an e-mail, we need to talk. because either something is up with you or there was a big misunderstanding with grandma ,grandpa ,mom and you. well i'm off to enjoy my day off later everyone.

evals were today, damn, i've gotten stronger, but my speed is starting to go down, i need to do more running maybe i should start doing 3 mile runs with gleason when i can.
oh ya btw, i started class today and got all my books, and i've got my arabic name,
نؤِر which means "light" (though i'm not sure if the waw has the humza on it) btw some marines are total assholes when it comes to other people's cultures, holy crap.

did casuals today, but unlike normal where for the most part we get to bs most of the time we had actual work to do, holy damn, first we got some new 50" big screen tvs for DOD flight (which i'll be in so yay for me getting new big screen tvs.) but those fuckers are heavy, like 140lb each, not that that is too much for two guys but the damn things are so awkward. so ya my arms and wrists were totally shot, it feels like i've maxed them multiple times, then I went to chow, afterwards I was picked for lawnmowing... ok, no problem right? wrong, the grass hadn't been cut in a LONG time so it was at least a good 2 feet, and it was also on a hill by the way, there is no way in hell we could get it done, hell we probably won't get it done tomorrow either, fortunately casuals will be over for me soon, as i'll be starting real class. this jump start thing is really good, i'm getting the letters down and can pretty much read arabic (i just can't tell you what everything means yet) with a few exceptions because of these damn short vowels its like the put vowels on top of some letters and its anoying because it changes how you say some letters, and stacking is a new concept as well, think of reading chinese from top to bottom, that is kinda what it is, you start from the top of the first letter and then go down then to the right, a wee bit complicated but nothing i can't handle, hell i've pretty much got stacking down, I just need to work on those damn short vowels. anyways i'm off to dinner soon, later
p.s. I will be getting a new cell phone, this new cell phone happens to have a camera phone so i can send pics of me and stuff around here, (but not some stuff cuz, well... there is stuff here i don't think some people can know about sorry folks, so pretty much you can see me and other people here and maybe like the dorm or something, and that is pretty much it.)hopefully i'll have it by next week
