SilverX 1.6.1.1918
A free utility to convert web flash content to Microsoft Silverlight
Program info
SilverX is a free utility that allows developers to convert web flash content to Microsoft Silverlight. It only supports Flash in ‘swf’ format for conversion. And it just takes selecting the flash file, plus the destination where to save the resulting Silverlight file.
The program supports multiple Flash features, such as dynamic text, HTML text, animations, shape, vector graphics, solid fills, morphing, and much more. This allows a perfect conversion minimizing any loses.
But SilverX isn’t just limited to simple conversions and it can: export CorelDraw vector graphics to SWF file and then convert it to Silverlight XAML, transform cartoons and animations to Silverlight movies, plus convert banners to run as Silverlight banners.
This tool was created to draw the attention of Flash users to Silverlight, since Adobe’s Flash is no longer a sustainable web technology. SilverX establishes a bridge between designers and technical developers, offering solutions as well that integrate natively into the Visual Studio 2010 and .NET framework.
A great feature of SilverX allows importing online published animations without running into the trouble of downloading it from servers first. On the downside, after testing with some Flash files which included action script, they resulted in a blank screen; it doesn't support action script.
SilverX allows converting .swf file into Silverlight resources easily. But it only works with proprietary files and not other ways.
