Bringin' 30Back: the party.

Last night, Ty brought 30Back. I spent most of my day at Area 405, transforming an art commune's industrial warehouse into party central. Ty made jumbalaya, Roddy handled DJ duties, and I did a lot of decorating and lightbulb changing. When all was said and done, one room had been completely turned into a red-lit club for DJ Gary, and the other was lit with white string lights, candlelight, and blue gels. Anyway, the party was good-- there was January Cherry Blossom punch, crazy sparkly glasses, party crashers, a giant poster of Matthew Fox, and I even managed to swing dance in heels while pretty tipsy. Go team me. I'm sure there will be tons of pics forthcoming as soon as shadowcaptain finishes his LJ Hell Posts Of Doom (TM), and yancentric and sweettoothjonny do the same. Until then, though...

Don't ask, 'cause I don't know.

I could say many things about this picture of yancentric, but you know, I think I'll refrain.

Aster offers herself to me... erm, seductively.

ciretose, bringing CornyBack.
I shouldn't laugh, there are many pictures of me wearing these glasses soon to surface.

Also, I seem to have found myself an on-call chef. Here's photographic evidence of a damn good Thai meal:

Today, I had a fulfilling day. I slept as late as I pleased, took a rejuvenating shower, lazed around on the internet, shopped for food to nourish my body, took care of my fish, then cleaned my entire room. One of my resolutions for the new year was to clean and purge the room of any negative energy, and I accomplished that by smudging with sage-- there is an abalone shell full of it smoking as I type. My bedsheets should come out of the dryer any minute now, and I can fall asleep warm and cozy.

Calm. Grounded and centered. Ready for the week ahead.

Good weekend.
