Two thoughts :
1 - It's amazing how long it took me to do this. Scheduling your Fringe viewings around performances is painful, but I got almost all of it in. Sorry Titus :(
2 - My reaction to being able to end my Fringe 2009 experience with Bare Breasted Women was somewhat middle schoolish, I'll admit. Still, I'm very excited about this one.

I'm gonna leave this open to all you political types who get out and vote today. I'm interested in everyone's experience -- were there long lines? how was the crowd? did people seem prepared or agitated? what's the mood like? etc. feel free to talk about your experience in the comments.
For me (I can't speak for InterD, but he's likely to have a similar story) the wait was noticeably longer. We got separated at check-in since we have different last names. The line for "R" was way shorter than the line for "H" -- who knew. After checking in we had to get in another line to pick up our ballot. That line was crazy long and snaked all throughout the room we were voting in. We got there at 8:20 and I left (Roddy was done before me and went home since he is sick today) at 9:30. That's a fairly long time for DC. It was, to me, chaotic when we first arrived. The volunteers seemed a little flustered and the check-in signs weren't clear. But once I got into the ballot pick up line, everything flowed well, just slowly. Enthusiasm seemed high and I witnessed no one getting impatient or terribly agitated.
As I was rolling into work, I passed another precinct whose line ran all the way down M Street and turned the corner on 16th. I think it's a good sign that lines are so long in DC. I mean, technically, our votes are more symbolic than anything else, but the fact that people feel strongly enough about it to stand in slow moving, long lines, especially busy "gotta get to my job" DCers, that's saying something.
It was not like this in '04. I remember.
So happy voting and feel free to drop your comments here :)

NY Times Series : Road To November
This is a particularly fascinating set of articles -- probably not something you can read quickly, as it is a series, but it's worth the time, I think.
I wish I had thought to load up in a car, take a month off from work and drive around the country asking people about the election. I am fascinated with what regular people outside the DC bubble think about all this. I'll be the first to admit I get way too caught up and it's nice to have some perspective.

hey kids ...
so my firm is looking for a part-time receptionist to help back me up when i'm away at lunch or on breaks. perfect for college age student looking for law firm exposure or struggling actor/artist who needs to earn some dough on the side without too much pressure.
i can vouch for the friendliness and professionalism of my firm. it's a nice place to work. located at 15th and M street about two blocks from MacPherson Square and K Street.
http://www.ppsv.com/
hours right now are 12-3 but can be what you make of them. looking anywhere from 10-15 hours a week but can bump that up if you need more. will also take on some side responsibilities -- stocking kitchens and workroom, maybe some filing and data entry. position has ability to become something more if you'd like added responsibility.
please forward to any interested parties or if you are interested send me your resume at ty.hallmark@ppsv.com.
you can also email me here if you have any questions.
oh, and it's $12/hr starting wage.
good people here. it's fairly low stress. so seriously ... if you're looking, i'd love to have someone i know already on board.

I know -- it's utterly ridiculous, I have no life right now. I can't tell you how happy I am to be an unemployed actor come July 25th.
