How to be poor and still splurge

In the past week, I've sold off about $120 in stuff I don't need. BPAL duplicates, stuff that didn't work on me. Stuff that was taking up space and violating my "must fit in one box" rule. If others can love on 'em more than I can, and I get money? Done deal.

With that money, I've ordered myself a new pair of combat boots and tonight, I'll be placing a Black Phoenix order for bottles of two of my favorite catalogue scents: a 5ml of De Sade and a 10ml of The Star. I think I'm going to add Miskatonic University to the mix, because how could I not want to smell like Irish coffee and leatherbound books? I may have enough left over for one of the Panacea blends, but I think I might wait on reviews for those first. I'm thinking either Seduction or Moxie, though I'd love to own the whole group. I've also updated my wishlist with a few of the Springtime In Arkham entries, because I'm waiting on reviews of some of those, as well. I figure I can splurge a bit because more likely than not, Flower Moon will not be up my alley. Ahh, splurging. I'm enjoying it while it lasts... which is approximately 4 more weeks. After graduation, splurging will be anything other than dining at home. :)

In the squee column, my Beltane oil will be here in a few weeks, and I've cut a deal with someone for half a bottle of Dead Man's Hand, which I covet. Rawhide and leather. Mmmmm. I want to smell like a cowboy.

I just finished decanting lots of stuff, and I smell like an unholy mess due to the cacophony of scents. I think I'd better go wash off before I go to jessimica05's senior piano recital.

Ta!
