I had crazy dreams last night. In my dream, I was randomly selected to be a designer on Project Runway. This is amusing to me because I've only seen about three episodes of the show ever. Anyway, they were having a season where half the contestants were wild cards chosen at random. Somehow, I was chosen even without having applied. And I... I can't sew. I can barely hem a pair of pants. And displaying my lack of skills on TV was a terrifying experience. In the first challenge, they gave us $50 and set us loose in a craft store. We had to make an outfit in two days based on a pair of shoes we were given. The pair I got were a pair of black spike-heel ankle boots. So I freaked out and cried about how I can't sew, but eventually made a pair of black satin formal shorts (which, incidentally, I would never wear and have no idea where this came from), an oversized men's dress shirt, and a loose red tie. As an accessory, I got to choose a bowler hat with a red band. How very Kate Moss. Anyway, as it turned out, the judges hemmed and hawwed and I think the catty guy (Michael Kors?) said that my design showed my technical inexperience but was okay in a runway kind of way, and I was spared from being Auf'd. I think maybe my dreams were switched with another one of my fandom friends' dreams. Any of you have random L Word dreams? Supernatural dreams? Hmm?

Last night's bellydance class.Collapse )

Tomorrow, I have a shopping excursion planned with deliriouscat wherein we will hit craft stores for wrapping supplies, and maybe I can finish up shopping for family guys. Largely, my shopping is done, which is a relief, but I am still so behind on other things and nervous about whether or not certain web orders will make it to my door with enough turnaround for me to send them to the right people. So, um... if I don't see you on a weekly basis, and you get your gift a few days late, I love you, okay?

Amusingly, my traveling in January will require me to get a pedicure, company expensed.
