Eligibility
- Participants must be at least 18 years of age
- Particpants will register as either a Student or a Professional, based on the following criteria
- Students - Individuals who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate program or have graduated from one within the past year
- Professionals - Graduate students or individuals working in the tech industry who have graduated one or more years ago
- Teams may consist of 1 to 4 individuals
Requirements
Purpose
Your team must submit a project that pertains to one of our three challenge categories. In your submission, explain the problem that you intend to solve and how it relates to the chosen category.
Challenge Categories
Transportation
Implement a solution to satisfy a transportation need. This can be through the use of geographic/mapping data.
Diversity
Create an application that connects individuals or groups of various ethnicities/cultures or raises one's awareness of said ethnicities/cultures. The solution should promote diversity in a social context.
Healthy Living
Create an application that assists the user in maintaining healthy lifestyle habits.
Submission Format
Upload your project files via GitHub, and provide any necessary links if your application is accessed via the web.

Usability
A usable application empowers its target consumer to satisfy their need(s) with the greatest amount of ease. Ease of use can result from an intuitive interface, or well-documented instructions. -
Creativity/Innovation
A creative or innovative application has an original solution to the problem it intends to solve. -
Technical Difficulty
An application with technical difficulty demonstrates that the developers challenged themselves by using advanced, but rewarding, technologies to implement their solution. -
Appearance
An application with a quality appearance catches a user's attention and evokes a sense of professionalism.
