SHP2GPX is a straightforward utility that converts ESRI Shapefiles into GPX files for use with GPS devices and mapping apps. It reads standard Shapefile components (SHP, DBF, SHX) and, when available, the PRJ file to interpret the source coordinate system. The output can represent point data as waypoints and line data as routes or tracks, making it easy to move GIS layers into navigation and fieldwork workflows.

Key capabilities:

• Converts Shapefiles to GPX for use in navigation software and on GPS devices
• Handles point and line geometries (e.g., points to waypoints, lines to routes/tracks)
