LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS
Porto Antico Area can be easily reached by public and private transport. On this page you will find all the information on how to reach the location based on the different means used.
By car
From the A12 and A7 we recommend the Genova Ovest exit: take the Sopraelevata and follow the directions for the Porto Antico area Porto Antico Area: exit at the first junction, continue past the pedestrian entrance to the Porto Antico area and then enter the avenue leading to the Porto Antico area located next to the barracks of the Guardia di Finanza. By Train
For the Porto Antico area it is recommended to get off at the Genoa Piazza Principe railway station. From there Porto Antico Area can be reached:
- On foot in 10/15 minutes
- By bus no. 35 directions Via Vannucci, get off at Gramsci 2 / subway Darsena
- Or bus n. 1, starting from the Marittima / Principe Fs, to Piazza Caricamento
- By underground directions Brignole, stop San Giorgio.
If you prefer the Genova Brignole train station, the Porto Antico Area can be reached:
- By bus no. 13, direction Turati / Metrò San Giorgio stop Piazza Caricamento
- By underground direction Brin, stop San Giorgio
By plane
From the Cristoforo Colombo airport can be reached:
- By taxi
- By bus with the Volabus – Piazza De Ferrari stop. The ticket costs € 6.00 and can be purchased on board.
PARKING
- download the Porto Antico app to check the real time availability of our car parks (Calata Gadda, Cannoniere, Mercanzia, Porta Siberia and Autosilo)
- if all the car parks have a red sticker, do not enter the Porto Antico area but take public transport, busses, metro and even using the interchange car parks which are a little further away, but are very well served. You can find all the info on how to reach us here

Attention: Parking in the Porto Antico area is only allowed for cars. It is not allowed to park trucks, campers and the like.

All sessions in the Programme are in CEST – Central European Summer Time
PASSPORT AND VISA
Visa regulations depend on your nationality and country of origin. You are strongly advised to find out if you need a visa to enter Italy as early as possible, and should a visa be required, to apply as soon as possible as the application process can be time-consuming. In case of visa rejection, the Organization cannot be held responsible and therefore cannot refund any registration and accommodation fees.
MOBILE PHONES
Participants are kindly requested to keep their mobile phones silenced in the rooms where sessions are being held.
LIABILITY AND INSURANCE
Registration fees do not include participants’ insurance against personal accidents, sickness and cancellations by any party, theft, loss, or damage to personal possessions. Participants are requested to make their own arrangements with respect to health and travel insurance. It is highly recommended that all participants carry proper health and travel insurance. In the event that the Event cannot be held in whole or in part due to any event beyond the PCO control or force majeure (such as war, fire, explosion, flood, earthquake, sabotage, strikes, epidemic, health emergency and acts of any government) the PCO cannot be held liable for any damage, cost, or loss incurred, such as registration fee or any other direct or indirect loss or consequential damage.
