Psychedelic Therapy:
Trade Group, Veterans Hold a News Conference
On October 21, 2025 in Ottawa, Shields Pharma Inc. VP of Finance, Mary Massoudinia, joined PsyCan and Canadian military veterans at a national news conference to discuss mental health innovation and policy reform.
The group unveiled new polling data showing that a majority of Canadians support the medically supervised use of natural psilocybin—the active compound in magic mushrooms—for therapeutic purposes.
This growing public support reflects an urgent need to expand access to alternative treatments, particularly for veterans and others facing treatment-resistant mental health conditions.
