About the project

The S.H.I.E.L.D. project is a European initiative that aims to reinforce the resilience of health and social care (HSC) institutions against cybercrime. It does so by increasing awareness of cyber threats and improving the digital skills and cybersecurity knowledge of students and HSC professionals.

Target groups

To achieve its goals, S.H.I.E.L.D. will actively involve diverse target groups, ensuring that its outcomes are co-designed, relevant and impactful. 

These groups include:

Higher Education students in the fields of healthcare, humanities and social sciences

Professionals working in the HSC sector: healthcare practitioners, including nurses, psychologists, and social workers

Policy-makers & Community: people who support, help to reach and influence the primary audience (e.g., HSC sector managers, policy-makers) and that depend on the cybersecurity skills of the primary audience (e.g., patients)
