Bob Parsons

Robert C. Parsons of Marstons Mills, MA passed away on May 29th, 2024. Born January 24, 1949 to Elizabeth Jeannette Gay and Thomas Basil Parsons, “Bobby” was the second of 3 children bent on giving their mother the time of her life. Bob taught 7th grade life science, 9th grade astronomy and was a 6th grade advisor in a 40 year teaching career at Fay School in Southborough, MA. During his years there he also ran a snack shop, taught skiing and ran a ski club, trap shooting, coached JV and Varsity lacrosse and brought Santa to life for the boarding students.

Bob loved the outdoors and took his family on many camping and white water trips, and enjoyed varieties of hunting. In his retirement years he volunteered with the Barnstable Land Trust maintaining areas of Barnstable for the public to enjoy, and served as president of the Barnstable Association for Recreational Shellfishing. In his retirement he enjoyed his dream job as Santa Claus at the Cape Cod Mall for many years. He is survived by his wife June, children Jeremy and Melinda, grandchildren Julian and Maksym, brother Thomas, and stepsisters Alice Blanchard, Cathy Matthews and Charlene Wilber.To remember Bob, donations can be made to the Cape Cod associations he served in.
