2017: A Year in Review

This was the year I finally got back into reading. I actually hadn’t read so much since the third grade — Junie B. Jones was definitely my bff in those days. Summer of ‘17 was when I got that reading spark back and I’ve been reading more and more ever since. It was in the month of July that I started reading vigorously. I’ve noticed that when I am stressed or anxious about something going on in my life I tend to stop reading altogether — I find it hard to focus on what I am actually reading when my mind is going 100mph. It was a stress free summer and so I read 4 books in the month of July, 2 in August, and 2 in September. I’m sure that during the months of October, November, and December I was consumed by the holidays and forgot about all else.

In retrospect, this was the year that I started documenting my reading and became obsessed.
