Earlier this week, I received a finished copy of The Creativity Project. I thought it might be fun to make a video documenting the event. (below)
Holding the book for the first time was a pretty magical moment. I am grateful to all the people that helped make this book possible. If you’d like to pre-order a signed copy, you can do so by clicking on the image below. All pre-orders from Bookbug come signed by myself, Travis Jonker, Laurie Keller, John Schu and Liesl Shurtliff.

Hello there, Colby,
We’ve never met in person but I feel like I know you from all of the posts that show up in my email inbox. I look at each and every one, and am often excited, moved, and inspired by them.
I’ve often thought about emailing you back and today is the day. Congratulations on the Creativity Project. It looks fantastic and I can’t wait to get my copy! Also, regarding your comments about “Holes” – my third child, my son, had some dyslexia growing up, and didn’t enjoy reading fiction until Holes came out when he was in fourth grade. That book was the magic charm and he read it over and over. It has a huge place in my heart (it’s also kinda a perfect novel, even if it hadn’t been so important to my son!).
For many years I have planned on coming to Nerd Camp (turned on to it by Katherine Tracy Sokolowski, whose classes I’ve visited many time), but always some big important family thing gets in the way (weddings, rotator cuffs, big cross-country moves, etc). But I still hope to one day.
So, this email is to say *Bravo to you* for the wonderful work you do for kids, and schools, and readers and authors! It’s more important now than it’s ever been.
All the best, Marianne Malone
