I think you can forget "like", because there's a connection between Daihatsu cars and Sharp, another a similar one between Mazda cars and Panasonic, and a similar one between Toyota cars and Toshiba.

The question does not make sense as it does not ask anything about the program Sharpdesk.
Our office currently has Sharpdesk Desktop installed on our computers which are using Windows XP. We had problems with compatibility in the past, when we tried to use Sharpdesk on a newly installed computer which was running Windows 7. We are now in the process of upgrading our office computers, which will run Windows 7. We worry that we will not be able to use Sharpdesk. Is Sharpdesk now compatible with operating systems, which use Windows 7?

Sharpdesk version 3.3 (which is the latest one released) supports versions of Windows up to Windows Vista. According to the information presented in the PDF files, this is the newest version of Windows supported. This means that Windows 7 is not supported officially and you may encounter problems if you try to run it. Since you are in the business sector, I advise you to get in touch with Sharp Company to find more information about this issue.
When I scan to a PDF, it automatically makes an OCR file. Any ideas on how to stop this?

This is just an option you need to configure in the Settings menu. Start the application, go to the Settings menu and look for OCR settings. Disable them and then restart the application. Once the application started, perform another scan of the PDF operation and you will be prompted to save it to the PDF file format. The OCR is used to recognize the text on the scanned PDF files.
Is there any difference in using a PDF vs a Tiff when making annotations? Do they both open with the same speed or does the PDF take longer as PDFs usually do?

You can use both file formats, but it's recommended to actually use the PDF file format in order to make annotations because the PDF format can be opened easily with the compatible applications, and besides that, the annotations feature is more easier to use for the PDF files. Scan the documents to PDF instead of TIFF.
Sharpdesk works only with HP MFPs because the application identifies the device using the built-in chip if that chip does not corresponds to the ones in the database then you can't connect the software to the HP MFPs.
I recently purchased Sharpdesk software but it did not include the annotation tools. I want to know how to get them and what would be the associated costs. Can you help?

The annotation tools should be included along with the Sharpdesk software and you can't purchase them separately. In order to solve your problem, I suggest you contact the Sharp Electronics Corporation and ask for clarifications. You can get in touch with them using the contact information from the official web page.
This is a complex product that requires advanced installation and configuration. You will need to take advantage of the discovery service to add IPs on the network. After this process, you also have to configure the users that are allowed to connect and make annotations at the same time. You will practically have to configure access for each user on the network. I recommend accessing the official website then use the Support section to get the exact process for this operation.
Can I use PDFs for annotations, as easily as Tiff's? I've used Tiff's before with this program and now I want to use PDFs.
