ShareSmart is a clinical photography and chat application designed for healthcare professionals to collaborate securely with one another in compliance with health information privacy legislation and digital professionalism guidelines. ShareSmart uses your phone’s internet connection to let you message and call your healthcare colleagues securely. WHY USE SHARESMART: FREEMIUM: ShareSmart uses your phone’s internet connection (5G/4G/3G or Wi-Fi, as available) to let you message, call and page your healthcare colleagues, so you do not have to pay for every message or call. There are no subscription fees to use ShareSmart. Extended clinical media archiving packages available. COMPLIANCE: ShareSmart is compliant with health information and privacy legislation, including, but not limited to PIPEDA, PHIPA, HIPAA, HIA and the European GDPR. We’ve integrated the relevant privacy legislation considerations in to the app, for your piece of mind. ENCRYPTION: All information on ShareSmart is encrypted during stasis and transmission. DEDICATED CLOUD: ShareSmart automatically uploads photos to a proprietary cloud which adheres with data sovereignty requirements. GALLERY SEGREGATION: Clinical photos are segregated from the phone’s native photo gallery to prohibit inadvertent viewing and transmission of sensitive patient photos. CONSENT MANAGEMENT: Both written and verbal consent can be obtained in-app and are synced to your photos so that it may be referenced at any time to ensure clinical photos are not mismanaged. Written consent is collected via signature with a stylus or finger on the app. The record of consent is married with each individual photo. CUSTOM PHOTO ALBUMS: Photos are automatically organized in chronological order in the Gallery and by patient under individual patient profiles. Using custom annotations, you can also create albums to enhance your teaching, research and quality of care. REVOKE ACCESS: With a photo access revoke feature, you can limit access to clinical photos. REMOTE WIPE: In the awful event your phone is lost or stolen, you do not have to notify the authorities nor your patients because clinical photos are not stored on your phone. For your piece of mind however, you can remote wipe the app and its contents to remove the app altogether. MULTIMEDIA: Send and receive high definition clinical photos. SHARE LOG: View whom a particular clinical photo was shared with. GROUP CHAT: Use group chats to collaborate with healthcare teams. NO INTERNATIONAL CHARGES: There’s no extra charge to send ShareSmart messages internationally. Chat with healthcare colleagues travelling around the world and avoid international SMS charges. QUICKLY CONNECT WITH YOUR CONTACTS: Your address book and the ShareSmart authenticated user directory is used to connect with existing ShareSmart users. OFFLINE MESSAGES: Even if you miss notifications or turn off your phone, ShareSmart will save your recent messages until the next time you use the app. *Data charges may apply.
