Tra la la. Three ficlets that have been festering on my PDA since at least February, apparently. Two inspired-by-song-titles, and one inspired-by-a-whole-song, which probably explains why I didn't post them before.
Unbetaed as usual, and probably fairly nonsensical... again, as usual.
( The Corpse in the Shooting Gallery (Harold Budd) - BluestreakCollapse )
( The Room of Forgotten Children (Harold Budd) - Ratchet, Prowl, short as heck snippetCollapse )
( This Place Is a Prison (The Postal Service) - MirageCollapse )
You know, these looked a lot longer on a PDA screen. :/

Hah. This fic will not end. Even now, when I've been working on it over a year (yes, you read that right), am utterly sick of the sight of it and just want it finished, the bunny is still whispering things in my ear.
So... consider this the Release Candidate of the fic. If I go back to edit it again... well, I can't be held responsible for the consequences. Grrr. (This is why I prefer art to writing. There are boundaries, Primus-damnit!)
The one thing, however, that the bunny remains steadfastly silent about, is the title. Figures.
Untitled
'Verse: G1
Rating: Nothing graphic.
Word count: 6,292 (whoah! Long fic is long!)
Notes: Many thanks to
trunks_angel and
okamichan for pesterings and betaing, respectively. :) You guys rock.

On a completely unrelated note, I'm actually really looking forward to TF2. Especially the score music - if it's anywhere near as delicious as the first one, then I actually don't mind if more of my favourite characters get Bayformed. Pretty music is just that pretty. ♥
On another note, I'm apparently stuck in LOLcat mode. Annoying, pervasive memespeak is... annoying. And pervasive. But, I know a lost cause when I see one. To the Cheezburger site!
On a final note, I'm apparently going to be heading off to Atlanta on Saturday. Yay traveling; boo crazy job-related-stuff. And I mean it when I say crazy. :/

I promised I'd update more ficbits sooner or later - over six months is a bit shocking even by my standards, though! I did start work 'cleaning up' some of the older bits, but they have a habit of mutating out of control occasionally. I have a former 'bit' that has expanded significantly... I might post that if I'm ever happy with it. (My poor beta-reader, LOL)
Instead, have a random collection of un-beta-ed snippets. I might come back to these, might not. We shall see!
( 1. Mirage, pre-EarthCollapse )
( 2. Pre-War origin story of two very familiar mechs...Collapse )
( 2a. Several vorns later, in case you hadn't figured out who...Collapse )
And the tiniest part ever... (and yet, most likely to be updated at the moment!)
( 3. Post Battle of Autobot City - Jazz (and eventually, Scrapper)Collapse )

So I realised recently that I have lots of unfinished ficbits and ideas that will probably never see the light of day. So, I shall post them here over the next few entries; and if anyone sees them and likes them, you can prod me, and I'll either try to finish them, or let someone else run with the idea. I'll try to split them up by theme...
These are all very rough works in desperate need of polishing and a harsh beta before being released out into the wider world, so please view with caution!
A few brief ideas on TF funerary practices:
( Two Walkers - Jazz, Chip Chase, post 1986 movieCollapse )
( Related Discussion & Snippet - Sideswipe, SunstreakerCollapse )

Title: Feelin' Groovy
Rating: PG for insinuation?
Verse: Transformers G1
Notes: Simon & Garfunkel own my brain. I listened to The 59th Street Bridge Song a few too many times, and this image got lodged in there. It's a good song.
