Hello!
Hello, I am Sarah, a writer and editor with a PhD in Children’s Literature.
Originally from Manchester via Leeds and Lancashire, I currently live in Cambridge. I previously worked with young people in Manchester, a city with an incredible history of LGBTQ+ culture and radical politics under-represented in children’s literature.
My debut middle grade book, Cottonopolis, was published by Northodox Press in September 2024. Find out more here.
I am currently working on a young teen title. It’s a historical retelling of the Wizard of Oz, with a magical twist and an irate talking swan.
My non-fiction/academic publications include two edited collections published by University of Mississippi Press: Healthcare in Children’s Media and Song of the Land: Celebrating the Works of Mildred D. Taylor.
Thank you for visiting my site, and I hope you enjoy reading my work.
For interview requests, information about upcoming events or to book me to speak, please feel free to contact me.
