SeekFast is a fast, easy-to-use desktop search tool for finding text inside documents in a folder and its subfolders.
How it works: choose a folder, type one or more search terms, and get ranked results almost instantly. Matches are shown with the file name and the surrounding sentence, and your search terms are highlighted for quick scanning. Open the file with one click, or click a snippet to view more context.
Supported file types include Microsoft Office documents, PDF, OpenOffice/LibreOffice, LaTeX, RTF, e-books, email formats, source code (C/C++, C#, Java, PHP, Python, JavaScript, HTML, XML, log files, and more), and plain text.
For convenience, SeekFast integrates with File Explorer - right-click any folder and choose "SeekFast..." to start a search.
SeekFast is especially handy for large codebases and document archives where built-in search is slow or limited.
SeekFast is available in Free and Pro editions. The main difference is the number of files you can search at once - Free is limited, while Pro removes this limit.
