Zulu, our iCal Server plugin for FileMaker, is actually for sale as part of our soft launch (you just can’t announce software on a Friday in the summer).

And, for the first time, we’re publishing a roadmap of the new features we’ll be adding in the next 9 months. Everything on the roadmap will be a free upgrade for existing users. And since Zulu is a plugin, taking advantage of new versions is a simple install.

SeedCode Calendar was awarded the 2010 FileMaker Excellence Award for Solution of the Year. The software was nominated by fellow developers and customers, so this award means a lot to us. A big thanks to everyone for their support, encouragement, and congratulations.

Friends and colleagues Molly Connolly (FileMaker Excellence Award for Outstanding Contribution to the FileMaker Community) and David Knight (FileMaker Mad Dog Public Relations Award) were also honored; I was very proud to be up there with these two.

Sessions. Just finished presenting our Year in Review session at FileMaker DevCon. Announced that Zulu is shipping the week after the conference ends and that we’ll be announcing a roadmap when when ship: laying out the features we’ll introducing through January. This is going to be big.

There are a couple of techniques that are about to become more mainstream now that FileMaker Go is out. Server-Side scripting is one of them and Agi Riley of ZeroBlue has written a nice overview of how this works. We have server-side scripts in SeedCode Complete to do email notifications, and once you start modifying these scripts you’ll find a ton of other uses for them.
