Outreach

The future of organic seed depends on the networks we weave today.

Our outreach efforts build power through convening seed communities, activating new collaborations, supporting relationship-building, and developing networks across program areas and partnerships.

OSA’s outreach focus is convening growers working with seed, connecting them with our programs and one another to share knowledge and build inter- and intra-community relationships. Our outreach knits together all of our organizational impact goals to achieve our mission. This is actualized throughout the organization with interpersonal and programmatic network building in the field, with our digital resources, our online networking platform Organic Seed Commons, and at events convened virtually and in person.

Join Us

Organic Seed Growers Conference

Our biennial Organic Seed Growers Conference is the largest manifestation of our outreach, and we are poised to bring together growers working with seed alongside a planning committee that represents diverse communities of seed stewards.

Regional Organic Seed Summits

The Summits are regional gatherings for people working with seed to network, exchange knowledge, and develop collective actions to build equitable, abundant, and resilient seed systems in the state.

Organic Seed Commons

Organic Seed Commons is a virtual community built for seed growers, breeders, and advocates. This platform is a container for real-time and asynchronous convening of communities with whom we work directly and indirectly.

OSA Quarterly Calls

Our open-sourced OSA Quarterly Calls bring together farmers, seed producers, researchers, advocates, and food system leaders to connect with OSA’s Advocacy, Research, and Educational Initiatives.

“I have this renewed faith in how organic seed plays a critical part in our world’s environment. Organic seed has such a powerful role to play in bringing people and the planet together. It is much more than a specific geographical area, and every story, experience, and impact are different.”

– Edward Johnson; Oregon Tilth, OSA Board Member
