‘It Is Still in Development. That's All I Can Say’ — KOTOR Remake Dev Issues Update - IGN Daily Fix

4 months - In today's Daily Fix:The KOTOR Remake devs have given an update on the progress of the game, but don't expect much. Saber Interactive have told IGN that, yes, the game is still in development. That's it. In other news, Slay the Spire 2 launched into Early Access this week and it absolutely crushed fellow new game Marathon with almost 5 times as many concurrent players on Steam. Marathon, the new multiplayer shooter from Bungie, has been in development for quite some time, and is a reboot of sorts for Bungie's IP from the 90's. And finally, Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo Direct, but this one solely focusing on the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie. You can catch it this Monday at 2pm ET/11am PT.

What to Expect from Star Wars in 2025

1 year, 6 months - Amid what appeared to be a lackluster year for new Star Wars content in 2024, 2025 is looking to be just as thin, at least for live-action. That’s not to say the content will be on the same level. With the live-action season 2 of Andor on the horizon, the show alone might be enough to carry the year in terms of what we get from Star Wars, as season 1 of Andor was among some of the highest rated Star Wars releases throughout the franchise’s history. While live-action Star Wars does appear to be thin, though this doesn’t account for Skeleton Crew finishing off its first season run in the front half of January 2025, other forms of media will have Star Wars fans eating well. Expect loads of new Star Wars books and comics centered around the High Republic. Marvel is also cooking up a good run of Star Wars comics throughout the year. The medium that may hurt the most is Star Wars video games. We only know of some games in development, like EA’s third Jedi game, Quantic Dreams’ Star Wars: Eclipse, and the Knights of The Old Republic remake. None of which have been announced for 2025. Ubisoft will update Star Wars: Outlaws in some ways, but as of now there are no major new Star Wars games in our very near future, unless some of the former mentioned games surprise us with earlier releases. Star Wars Visions, also known as Star Wars Anime, will also be returning for a third season.
