Betty Bangs

The fabric of my pride starts with my roots as a Xicana from San Diego. I come from immigrant parents that came here to better their lives. My mother was an Interior Designer when I was a little girl. My grandmother was a quinceañera dresses maker in Tijuana. Sewing and creating is in the fabric of who I am. I am an artist that works with many mediums. Art has no limit. I am very proud to be a Queer Xicana Designer/ creative artist. The plan is to incorporate my cultura and my lifestyles in all the designs of everything I create.

The fabric of my pride is woven from the ashes of dead stars and the birth cries of new galaxies. It is ancient in its wisdom and grey like the dust of the first planets. I stand as the Divine Order absorbing the spectrum of the universe to create a new beginning. My pride is not a color; it is the gravity that holds the world together.

Sarra Smith

I am a seamstress designer patternmaker with 25+ years of experience. My brand name is Sarra’s Petals because just like flower petals I adorn all of nature’s creations in beauty. I plan to sew and create beauty till the day I die. There is not enough time in this lifetime to create all the ideas I have in my head.

Apratim Sanyal

My name is AP and my fashion brand is All Phassion (“All Fashion”). I am an accountant by day and a designer who loves drama on the runway by night. My introduction to fashion started in 2009 when I was blown away by Christian Siriano on Project Runway. Ever since then, I have been working on creating stunning pieces for special occasions. My brightest moment was in 2019 when I created my first 6-piece collection to help raise money for an art gallery in downtown San Diego. Over the years, I have delved into the world of cosplay and costume design. The highlight of this journey has been my cosplay from 2024 which has received over one million views and over 100K likes on Instagram. My dream is to be a designer in Chistian Siriano’s house. The exuberance of his runway collections are incredibly inspirational. I would love to be the head designer of one of his finale pieces.

I’m a multidisciplinary artist and fashion designer working as Haus of Closure, creating leather and textile garments that function as both armor and intimacy—supporting identity, expression, and resilience. With a background in fine art, performance, and art therapy (Pratt Institute, SAIC, Adler University, and CIIS), my work is rooted in storytelling, embodiment, and care.

My practice spans wearable art, drag costuming, and custom leather couture for queer communities, including performers and Leather and Bear titleholders. Inspired by camp, vintage animation, and the queer villain archetype, I design genderless pieces that balance comfort, functionality, and bold expression.

I currently manage and exhibit my work at Fuzzy Glow Gallery, where I present immersive, mixed-media exhibitions alongside my fashion practice. At its core, Haus of Closure is grounded in community, transformation, and the belief that clothing can protect, restore, and empower.

Trần Nữ Vương Linh

I’m a Vietnamese-born multidisciplinary artist, poet, and wearable-art designer based in San Diego. My work begins with painting and storytelling, transforming personal experiences of migration, identity, and resilience into garments that act as moving canvases of memory and emotion.

Shaped by my journey as an immigrant, mother, service member, and creator, my work explores belonging across cultures. My designs—rooted in original artwork—feature bold color, layered symbolism, and fluid movement, embodying both vulnerability and strength.

For me, Pride is the courage to live authentically and create through uncertainty. My work reflects this quiet resilience, aligning with the spirit of “Unbreakable Pride, Unshakable Power.”
