A day to celebrate our partners
May 1, 2026There are days at the club that remind you what it is all about. This was one of them.
We were incredibly proud to cater for and service a fantastic Partners’ Lunch, last Saturday, ahead of the 1st XV fixture v Barnes, welcoming 300 guests into a stunning marquee on the top pitch, expertly supplied by Maypole Marquees.
From the moment guests arrived, there was a real sense of occasion. The room was full of familiar faces, new connections, and a shared pride in being part of something bigger than just a matchday.
Our team at SCRUM Kitchen prepared and served a three course meal designed to bring people together. Simple, well cooked food, made with care, and delivered at scale without losing that personal touch. It set the tone for an afternoon that flowed effortlessly from one moment to the next.
The marquee bar was in full swing throughout, with wine and beer keeping glasses topped up as conversations and laughter carried across the room. Then came the entertainment, with the Secret Singers lifting the atmosphere and getting the whole marquee on its feet in a moment that will live long in the memory.
A lively auction followed, and once again the generosity of our partners and guests shone through. The support shown in that room spoke volumes about the strength of the community around the club.
As the season begins to draw to a close, this was far more than just a lunch. It was a chance to say thank you. To recognise the people and businesses who back the club week in, week out, and who play such an important role in everything we do.
From all of us at SCRUM Kitchen, it was a privilege to be part of it.
No time to stand still though. We go again this weekend with another big home game pre match lunch to prepare, alongside a full clubhouse of supporters to look after on Saturday. Then on Sunday, the club hosts the Kent Finals, with plenty of hungry mouths to feed and a busy bar ready to keep everyone refreshed across what promises to be another fantastic couple of days at the club.
