ScrollBar Styler 5.5 is a software tool that generates scrollbar CSS "style" code for colored, flat-style, and custom scrollbars. It also creates JavaScript code for multi-color blinking scrollbars. (Requires IE 5.5 or later.) Super for styling your page and building Eye-Grabber scrollbar effects.
Colors are set with standard controls and Windows color dialogues (just like those used in graphics editors) by pressing the Color Buttons. The results are then displayed in a Test Browser window (right top in the graphic). There are four separate control sections:
Basic Style uses a single color selection to set all the scrollbar colors at once. Windows chooses the various colors for the scrollbar parts based on the color you select.
Flat Style uses four color selections to quickly and easily generate flat-look scrollbars, without the need to individually set all seven characteristics of the scrollbar. The application will choose appropriate combinations.
Full Control allows selection of all seven scrollbar part colors individually, for maximum control over scrollbar appearance.
Note the Parts button below the Color buttons, which will display a graphic of the various scrollbar parts. (Available only in Full Control.)
Multi-Color allows setting of up to six scrollbar colors (basic style), which can then be set to blink through a continuous cycle at a settable rate.
The Number of colors to use is set with the spinner control in the lower right of this section. The associated Color buttons will appear or be removed as needed.
The Rate in milliseconds (1000 milliseconds = 1 second) sets how long each color will appear before moving to the next.
