The NIHR have produced “Learning from PPI in Action: a collection of webinars” which includes a chapter reporting on the fifth webinar in a series of PPI webinars hosted by NIHR. This focuses on inclusive involvement in Adult Social Care Research, drawing on the experiences from the SCRiPT study. It aims to highlight tips to develop and support meaningful and inclusive public involvement in social care research.

The programme is for:
- Those in the social care setting who are new to research

The National Adult’s Commissioning and Contracting Training Conference
The SCRiPT team was invited to run a workshop at the National Adult’s Commissioning and Contracting Training Conference (NCCTC) on 12th November 2021. This provided us with an early opportunity to engage with adult social care commissioners in a national forum and hear how the SCRiPT study can support the commissioning cycle. Jennifer Lynch, Senior Research Fellow in the core project team and Nichola Lee, Senior Public Health Evaluation Officer at Hertfordshire County Council and SCRiPT Advisory Group member presented the workshop focusing on how commissioners can harness the potential of practitioner-led research to improve quality of care. The workshop showcased SCRiPT as an example of successful collaborative working between academics and local authorities with the aim of generating and mobilising evidence that can support strategic commissioning and service delivery.
