Version History This version resolves an issue where a link from a password reset request would be intercepted by the app as a deep link, preventing users from reseting their password. 2.2002 Mar 7 Nearly all pages within Satellite Chasers have been rebuilt from the ground up, with a great deal of new functionality having been added along the way. All this and much more. 2.2 Jan 4 Look backwards and forward in time! You can now set a Custom App Time to see a satellite's location over the Earth or in the sky, even days before or afterwards. The Azimuth and Elevation for a satellite are now also shown when selecting a satellite over the Globe or in AR. This is shown to the right of the Check-Ins & Points you've gotten from that Satellite. 2.116 07/17/2025 This version of Satellite Chasers brings a new 'Notification Settings' option on the Settings page where you can subscribe to notifications. The following types of notifications can be added: 1. Satellite Flyovers (with customizable pass elevation) 2. New Satellites Added (with filtering by type/origin) 3. Conjunction (AKA potential satellite collision) 4. Decay Events (AKA predicted satellite re-entries) 5. The calculation of nearby satellites for Check-In's is now calculated server-side rather than client-side, meaning you Check In with everything above you, rather than just what your phone can load. The settings button is then moved into the upper right corner of the screen, where the AR button used to be. A new FAQ page has also been added to the settings page. 2.023 11/13/2022 Satellite Chasers latest version ditches the dusty old reddit-based news feed and upgrades to the great SpaceFlight News API, which aggregates many of the most reputable space news websites. 2.022 02/17/2022 Satellite Chasers newest release allows you to customize your location settings! Historically, the app has only pulled your location once at the start of the app. This will still be the default, but now you can enable 'Active Tracker' mode to have the app persistently update your location while the app is open. And finally, you can now manually set your location to check predicted flyovers at a location other than your current one, and see what AR would look like from that location! 2.021 02/11/2022 The latest version of Satellite Chasers loads is significantly more efficient from a data usage perspective. Several full-table calls were removed and additional logic was added to account for fetching any needed data. The marker noting your location now also shrinks as you zoom in on your location. (Thank you blu3sky!) Lastly, after checking in, you are now shown the number of new satellites you haven't seen before, and if you moved up in rank on the leaderboard! (Thank you Tom!) 2.02 01/30/2022 Fixing issue with In-App Purchases to remove Advertisements. 2.011 12/02/2021 Satellite Chasers latest version includes the ability to share satellites and conjunctions using Universal Links! 2.01 11/16/2021 Satellite Chaser's latest version brings with it a new tutorial for a much better first experience. Ads & in-app purchases to remove ads were also added to help pay for server maintenance fees. 2.0 11/05/2021 Satellite Chasers' latest version now displays orbital trajectories whenever a satellite is selected! The satellite detail popup can now be minimized to allow for a better view of the world. A shuffle button has now been added to show a random satellite! And as always, several small bug fixes and user experience improvements have been added. 1.99 10/16/2021 This latest version brings with it the following changes: A pin has been added to the user's location. Friendly wait messages have been added to the loading dialogue. The restyle button in the satellite directory now accurately matches the color of the satellite. All spheres have been reduced in size to give a less cluttered appearance.
