How we choose our projects

It has become clear very quickly that most projects come with development needs of some sort; whether it be strategy, audience awareness or industry knowledge. We want to help projects to be more successful.

We can’t help every project, and we need to make sure those we work with are committed and ready to go the extra mile and work with our team.

The way we balance these two things, is to offer all projects a 3 hour zoom introduction. Every submission will get 2 45 minute sessions with Naomi to discuss the industry, strategy and the entire process. In addition there will be a 45 minute session with Karen to discuss the script and story.

This initial introductory time will give the team a chance to get to know the team, to impart our knowledge and advice. Whether we decide to move ahead with a project or not; you will come away with additional knowledge, information and confidence.

MEETING 1 - WITH NAOMI

An initial 45 minute Zoom meeting with Naomi to discuss your project. Establish where you are at; what you need help with and what your hopes and aims are for your project.

MEETING 2 - WITH KAREN

A 45 minute Zoom meeting with Karen to discuss your story and script. To discuss commerciality; structure; comparables and budget needs.

MEETING 3 - WITH NAOMI

A 45 minute Zoom meeting with Naomi to discuss your project and follow up after the first two sessions. A chance to delve into any additional areas that have come up, and to discuss timelines and potential collaboration. By the end of this session, whether you go ahead with SapphicIFF or not; you’ll be armed with a lot more knowledge and information to give your project a head start.

Anyone can submit projects to our slate. You may be approached by an investor or by us to discuss your project. To ensure you’re ready for the next step and committed, we ask for a fee of £300 for the 3 zoom meetings. This fee will be put into the SapphicIFF funding pot – so if you’re successful could go straight back to you; or to another sapphic story. It is important that our time is valued, and that you are serious about your project. The value of these three meetings will far exceed this small investment.
