Vid Recs!

I still have every intention of making a larger VVC vid recs post, once I work my way through the last DVD (I've seen 3 out of 4! I just haven't quite had a chance to see the themed vidshow premieres yet) but to give myself a break from the research necessary to finalize my list of places for PhD apps, I give to you my two most essential vids of the 2013 VVC premiering vids!

Don't Call Me Baby by greensilver and sweetestdrain - aka the Star Wars OT3 vid of my heart and soul. There is another pretty damned fantastic Star Wars vid that I'm going to rec later, but LET ME TELL YOU WHY I NEED TO REC THIS ONE NOW. Over and above the fact that the first 1/3 of this vid is the Leia kicks ass and takes names manifesto that I have been dreaming of for years, THIS IS ALSO THE VID THAT MY 13 YEAR OLD SELF ALWAYS WANTED AND NEVER QUITE HAD THE WORDS TO EXPRESS. They love each other and they need each other and, later one, when Luke and Mara hook up, she is going to fit in excellently with this threesome. Also, let's be honest, I am a fan of emotional constipation and this vid highlights that particular aspect of them SO WELL. *g*

Please Please Please Let Met Get What I Want by joyo and absolutedestiny - Friends, I haven't laughed this hard in a LONG TIME. I seriously may need to add this to a list of "Vids to be stuck with on a desert island" because it is Just. That. Epic. All I'm going to tell you is that the fandom is infomercials, because to tell you anything more would ruin the sublime. AND IT REALLY IS SUBLIME. :D
