As of five days ago, this livejournal is seven years old! ♥♥♥ Also, I redid my layout a little, edited the name of the blog and some information and stuff. I felt like it was long overdue. I feel better now. Or maybe I'm just procrastinating from studying for my Latin test. And it's already 1am. That's how it's done, people.

As I promised, a picture spam of the pictures I took while I went sailing. It was amazing. The sun was shining, but the wind was strong so you weren't hot, but when the waves crashed onto the wooden deck under your bare feet and you were wet, you weren't really cold either and you just wanted to laugh and laugh and laugh. ♥

In short, if I ever encountered a dementor, this is the moment I would think of during my patronus spell.

Seriously, I must have been a sailor in a previous life.

Today I realized, that if I didn't want to completely alienate myself from LJ, which is sadly happening right now, then I needed to make some changes - cut down on communities, cut down on people on my fllist and actually start posting again.

If I removed you, please don't feel offended. No hard feelings, it's just time to move on. I wish you happiness and love and adventures and all the magic in the world. ♥

I've been on a hiatus because of school stuff and personal things going on right now. Not dead, in case you were wondering. Sorry, the hiatus is going to last a little while longer, at least until I get my school stuff sorted out.
However.
Since everybody is doing this and I want to feel like I'm keeping at least some sort of contact with all of you:

I thought tonight's episode was awesome. We saw the serious side of the new Doctor and we saw a new spin on the his personality - being kind is so much better than being emo. I like it how Moffat is trying so salvage what RTD made of the Doctor. ♥

Also, I think the music in the new series is extraordinary and I'm loving the new opening tune. There, I said it, I'm loving the new theme and the new opening credits. I love everything about this show. Moffat's restored my faith and interest in it.

You keep on rocking it, Matt and Karen.

Took a trip into nature with my mum today, to run in my new rubber boots. Well, more into nature than usually, this is Tõrva, there's nature everywhere. My point is, I made some pictures! All from the area behind/around my old school.

Doctor Who, 501 - The Eleventh Hour

Okay. Okay. Now that I've had time to gather my thoughts, and I'll be honest, gather up crazy picspam material, it's  time for a reaction post / episode picture spam.

Some basically non-spoilery general emotions first.

I LOVED IT, in case that wasn't quite apparent from my last post. When I first heard that RTD was leaving, I felt a little uneasy and worried, but now I welcome out new overlord Moffat with open arms. My feelings on Karen and Matt are the same, but we knew that before already.

I thought it was absolutely magical, in the truest sense of the word. Idk if it was because Eleven's the first Doctor who I've had to actually wait for (I caught on with the show right after Tennant's first Christmas special, then quickly watched the first season and then the second one was already starting) and for who I have been along for the entire regeneration shebang, but there just was something so incredibly wonderful about this episode. When Amy saw the TARDIS for the first time, I felt the overwhelming awe, just like she did and my breath caught along hers.

And Amy's story was just beautiful and I love that she has history and sort of.. inner workings. I always felt that was something the companions lacked a little. Well, okay, Donna had the thing with feeling inadequate, Martha was always jealous and Rose.. well, Rose was defined by her love for the Doctor. But I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. In a way, Amy has more history with the Doctor than any of the others.

And Eleven's just brilliant, what else can I say about him.

OH MY GOD, NEW DOCTOR WHO.

THIS WAS SO FUCKING AMAZING. I LOVE ELEVEN AND AMY MORE THAN WORDS CAN DESCRIBE.
