Autumn is Prime Time for Inshore Fishing in Saint Augustine!
Inshore Fishing – As the summer heat subsides, the days get shorter and the waters near St Augustine begin to cool, schools of finger mullet, a feast for a large variety of highly desirable game fish, begin streaming through the inlets around St Augustine. Following the mullet through the inlets and into the inshore waters are large numbers of saltwater species. They include big bull Redfish, Jack Crevalle, Bluefish, Flounder, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel and Whitings.
These species are usually found further offshore and more widespread during the hot summer months. During the St Augustine Autumn, which typically runs from mid October to mid December, these same species are much easier to reach as they vacate their offshore habitats and follow the mullet schools into inshore waters.

The Captain
Captain Danny Ledford is a 3rd generation fishing boat captain. He is native of Saint Augustine, Florida, a USCG licensed captain, an expert fishing guide and a commercial fisherman for over 25 years. Captain Danny loves to share his life long passion for fishing and the Florida outdoors with visitors to Saint Augustine whether they’re experienced anglers or first timers. Captain Danny is an expert at both inshore fishing and offshore fishing in the waters near St Augustine. His fishing guide service specializes in light tackle, inshore fishing on the flats near St Augustine.
The Boat
Captain Danny’s Boat is all about fishing! Captain Danny’s boat is a completely refitted 2011 23-foot Carolina Skiff designed for stability on the water with plenty of deck space for anglers.

The boat also has a new 4-stroke 200 HP Suzuki motor. Captain Danny’s fishing boat is clean, safe and reliable with State-of-the-Art technology and safety gear.
