ABOUT SacHacks
SacHacks is the first major intercollegiate hackathon in the Sacramento, California area. We provide the place, you bring your ideas, and we have a friendly competition between all creative coders to launch their ideas into action during a 24-hour hackathon.

Requirements
Requirements:
- All submissions must be listed on Devpost by Sunday, 10:30AM Pacific Time.
- Currently enrolled in a university/college or recently graduated
- Judge decisions are final with no appeal process. We will not tolerate any cyberbullying of any form regarding decisions. Incidences will be reported to and investigated by our team.
- In order for each person to receive a prize, EACH PERSON must be listed on Devpost. Team members not submitted in Devpost will NOT be able to receive a prize. No exceptions will be made.
- Minimum of one (1) person and Maximum of four (4) people per team.
- Submissions should include a video of up to 3 minutes max that showcases the project.
Prizes
Best Design without code
Best design in a project that is no-code or low-code.
Each team member receives a $25 Amazon or Figma Store gift card as per their choice.
Best Startup Idea
The most promising startup idea will receive a $500 cash prize to use towards making that idea a reality. Consider it a contribution towards your dreams from SacHacks!!
Best Design with code
Software development project with the best design.
Each team member receives a $50 Amazon or Figma Store gift card as per their choice.
Best Social Impact using IBM Z
The most socially impactful idea that uses IBM Z's software tools efficiently will receive a set of Beats Studio Cancelling Earbuds each.
Note: In order to be eligible to compete in this category, your project must use IBM Z as its cloud platform.
All three winning teams will be provided a 3-month ML instance extension on the L1CC platform (valued at 7.5K) and mentorship with IBM SME for that period in addition to the below prize:
Each team member of the winning team will receive Beats Studio Cancelling true wireless earbuds.
Best use of IBM Z
Awarded for the project that makes the best use of IBM Z.
