The Events Industry Council (EIC) launched the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) program to equip you with the knowledge and performance as a meeting professionals and promote the status and credibility of your meeting profession.

The qualifications for certification are based on professional experience, education, and a rigorous exam. The CMP exam was developed and is maintained by meeting professionals from all over the world to ensure that the program reflects the best practices in the meeting management field.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Professionals who have joined the MICE & Events industry for at least 3 years pursuing the CMP designation.

GRANTS AVAILABLE

Receive up to 50% grant (subject to STB approval) on SACEOS courses through the Training Industry Professionals in Tourism (TIP-iT) which supports tourism companies in employee upgrading and leadership development.

PREREQUISITES

Meeting Professionals with:

36 total months of full-time work
experience in the meeting,
event, exhibition, hospitality and
tourism industry within the past
five years

Applicants with an associate
degree (or higher) in
hospitality/tourism/events
management field may apply
after two years of work
experience provided both were
accomplished in the past five
years

Full-time instructors who have
taught for three years in a
meeting/hospitality university
program

25 clock hours of continuing
education within the last 5
years
