To many Choices

Pictures : There was way too many choices for this young bird, it had to stop and think about it a bit.

Gambel’s Quail Chick. A couple click will get you in close, you can almost see it thinking.
“Now which seed do I peak at …?”

You know you should have a good day, so just do it!

Cooler this Summer

The Summer : The summer has been a bit cooler this year and I am glad. Last summer we had 105℉ days stacked on top of each other and this year we are having a lot of 95℉ days, and that 10℉ does make a big difference.
We had a run of hotter weather last month and this month has been a bit cooler. I think the flowers that I threw in the pots as seeds are doing better since it cooled off.

Pictures : Forgive the mess and unorganized chaos of the flowers, I literally did just throw some seed in the pots to see what would grow. Given that we have many 100° days and the area were I put them was shaded, I just didn’t know how things would go. The morning glories have done pretty good I think, and Zannia would have to, if I had a knew a little bit more about what I was doing. I’ll do better next summer (promise 🤔).

Flea Market : While out at the flea market last Saturday I picked up a couple wooden ammo crates about 30 inches in link, about 20 inches wide and 18 inches deep. This morning at Walmart I found two plastic containers that fit perfect in them. So they will be my flower beds for next summer. Not a bad cost for flower pots 20 X 30 and 18 deep all for about $20.00 each. Of course, I’ll have to spend some time on them taking the bottoms out and sanding them and doing something to make them look a bit more presentable, and durable to the heat and weather. Which that just gives me something to do, that I enjoy doing anyway.

Enjoy your day.

My Old Fall Back

Pictures : When things are not working for me I always come back to my Canon EF 100-400mm lens. This lens is the best I have, and a excellent lens for anyone I think. Also it could be this is just the tool that I work with over 95% of the time.

Some more morning glory.

Hope everyone’s Sunday is a nice day.

Yet another Zannia

Pictures : Another shot of one to the Zannia. Same Zannia as in a earlier post just with a different lens and light. This shot was with the harsh midday sun light hitting it, so I probably over-processed a bit trying to fix that.

Hope everyone’s weekend is going well.

Different Set Up

Pictures : I took this shot with the 7D mark II, and the 150 Sigma micro lens. I have not been all that happy with the shots I have been getting out of my gear, it is likely more me then the gear. I’m not as steady with the camera, and I’m not as patient, as I once was. So just experimenting a bit.

I do hope everyone has a fine day.
