Pictures : I just can’t resist taking shots of the roadrunner when it comes by for a drink, even though I’ve got lots of images of the Road Runner.

Pictures : This White-winged Dove was very chill when I took this shot. Looks like it is molting and some of the feather around it’s head has all been lost except for the stem of the feather.
I have never notice one molting that way before.

This Dove seems to have a little more brown in it’s color too.

Pictures : Here is one of the Gambel’s Quail chicks by itself. The rock to it’s side is not more than a inch long.

Pictures : I remember posting on someone’s blog just a couple weeks ago that by the time the chick Gambel’s Quails were brought to my feeding area, they were big enough to jump a foot high up to my birdbath. However, these little guys sure wouldn’t be big enough to do that. I open the door and mom took off, and these little guys couldn’t go fast enough to stay with her, so they tried to hide out the best they could. After stealing a picture or two, I shut the door so mama could come and collect them.
These are the smallest ones I have ever seen.
