Pictures : This is pretty much the same shot as yesterday, I might have taken it a second later. I am trying out Affinity Photo 2 for a replacement for Photoshop.
Adobe has become a bit of a bully company with no respect for anything other then getting as much money out of you as they can. I understand the US Government has filed a lawsuit against them for crazy high cancellation fees. Also I’m hearing that their privacy policies are really starting to get invasive with your work and photos!
At any rate I am giving Affinity Photo 2 a try. The below images was post processed with Affinity.

Opinions : I would like to hear other peoples opinions about Adobe Photoshop and alternative software. In my first little try with Affinity about the only thing I see missing is the AI stuff and I don’t use that anyway. The Affinity software has a one time fee, unless their is a major version upgrade which is not very often from my understanding. At any rate I have a trial version of Affinity and I am going to give it a go. The only plugin filter that I have is Topaz Denoise AI, and that seems to work fine with Affinity as a plugin. The Affinity Interface is very, very similar to that of Photoshop which will help a lot. Affinity seems to have RAW support for most of the poplar cameras, and in Canon brand they have RAW support for all the cameras I have, and any that I might get in the near future.
I have played a good bit with Gimp but I don’t find it too comfortable. I know that other software is out there and if you use something other then Photoshop give me your opinion on it.
