So, this will be my last icon post before the new year and I thought what better way to end it than to end it with a bang. Yes? Well, not really a bang but a small, slight *boom* in the form of Harry Potter.

So, I made simple icons from the art in the books courtesy of Mary GrandPre, and I've also added the icons I had the opportunity to make from

reallycorking's art. The best fan artist on live journal, I'd like to think.

So that means this post includes spoilers and if you haven't read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows yet, something is seriously wrong with you.

ICONS 056 : Icon Journal Hijack!

hi, i'm Nuri (

dreamon_dreamer) and i'm interrupting your regularly scheduled programming to bring you a remix to the eljay icon world. Dav (

rupiconic /

spattergroit) came up with this idea awhile ago and asked me if i'd like to collaborate; clearly i said yes immediately. the idea is basically this: we decided to make a total of 50 icons using 6 (or 7 in dav's case since she can't follow directions) of each other's interests. don't tell the other which ones you've chosen, that's what the big reveal/hijacking is for. we wanted to see each other's styles showcased in some of our favorite things. then make your post in the other person's icon journal.

our deadline for this has been pushed back many times, lol. oh well, life has been crazy. but here they are finally. i hope everyone likes them. but mostly i hope you like them, dear! *bites nails*

look out for another collaboration bt us...at some point in the future, who knows how long it'll take us.

i know it's been forever since i made icons but i've been really busy. school's started and i'm working on a book, i had a very bad august, and every other distracting thing you could possibly name.

but i think i can keep a steady flow (do not hold me to that) and so now, i come bearing icons.

farewell, harry ♥

so, it's just a small little load of icons and they're really nothing special but to celebrate the final harry potter, i thought it would only be nice to make icons. i'm not going to pimp them all over the place (just at the hp comms) because i feel that this is a special thing that should only be shared between the true hp fans.

hp spell icons

So, now that

rupiconic has a new layout and info page (yes, go and check) I decided to celebrate with a little something, something.

Something different. Something that involves Harry Potter. Something that I haven't done before. I decided to icon most of the spells from the book and yes, I purposely made the Unforgivables black.
