I haven't really read any fanfiction in ages and ages. But when I saw sharkygal had written a Charlie/Ginny fic, I had to have a look because they are one of my favourite ships and there sadly isn't enough C/G fic around. I admit I was a little doubtful as to whether or not I would keep reading, because I don't usually have the patience for multi-chaptered fics. But I was hooked straight away. The whole fic has a very beautiful rhythmic feel to it, with vivid imagery throughout. Her characterisation of both Charlie and Ginny is wonderful, and fits exactly with how I've always imagined them (and always wanted to write them), and the original characters are perfect: deep enough to help carry the plot along, deep enough for you to remember who is who - but not so deep as to distract attention and take up space. I love the dialogue between Charlie and Ginny - it conveys all the tension and the intimacy and also just right amount of Britishisms to make it feel real, without going over the top. The sex is perfectly written - very hot, very vivid, very natural. Definitly the best sex scene I've ever read in a fanfic. I'm also especially impressed by the fact that this isn't just a romance-based fic, but neither does the plot mean little to the romance. Both are very intertwined and fully emphasise the other, and make the whole fic very exciting to read.

This may well be my favourite fanfic ever. If you like Ginnycest at all, please go and read this! I'm sure you won't be disapointed!

When you've written certain ships to death, how do you find something new to write about them? I'm having trouble finding inspiration. And I can't be more clear than this, unfortunately.

corvidae9 wrote me Sleepwalking (Hermione/Sirius, NC-17), which I love. I asked for Hermione/Sirius with her being still of school age, and said I liked angsty crushes and secret sex with lots of kissing and whispering along the way, and that's what I got! :D The great thing about this fic is that it's more than just smut, it builds up so beautifully slowly, the suspense is wonderful and you really get an idea of their characters. I've always been intrigued by the idea of Hermione/Sirius but there aren't many fics about and I've never found one that really fitted with how I imagined the ship. But this fic is exactly what I wanted, and I highly recommend it!

I wrote the pieces of this puzzle, which is Ginny/Tom, NC-17. I'm really really proud of it but I didn't have time to get it beta'd before I posted it, and I really think it needs a thorough beta. So please, would anyone like to do that for me? The more betas the better, really! If you'd like to beta it for me, just take the version that's up there and email me your beta'd version, and please, be as harsh as you like. My Death & Chocolate and Shiny have been nominated at hp_journos :O i'm very excited, especially about Death & Chocolate, which I didn't think anybody liked even though its possibly my favourite of my own fics. I want to know who nominated me! Please tell me if you did! I'll write you a drabble or something if you own up!
