Marcos del Pilar, RSPA’s Lead Padel Curriculum Developer and Head Padel Coach Developer, is a global Padel consultant, investor, and pioneer with over 30 years of experience in the sport’s ecosystem. He has played a pivotal role in growing the sport across the United States since 2017. Marcos is an award-winning speaker, Master Teaching Professional, and RSPA-certified leader with a strong track record of driving business success through strategic planning, innovation, and leadership.
He served as President of the USPA and was instrumental in launching the first Padel World Championship in the U.S. in 2022. Marcos also co-founded and led the PRO PADEL LEAGUE (PPL) as CEO and Commissioner. He currently holds leadership roles in major Padel ventures and investment groups and was ranked among the top three most influential figures in the global Padel industry. As the lead architect of this course, Marcos built, planned, and curated the curriculum to reflect the highest standards of coaching, education, and global best practices.

Padel is played on an enclosed court about one-third the size of a tennis court, with walls that are in play (similar to squash). It uses solid paddles and a depressurized tennis ball, and is typically played as doubles. Our certification program covers all these unique aspects and their teaching implications.
While some familiarity with the sport is helpful, our Instructor program is accessible to racquet sports professionals who are new to padel. We provide comprehensive training in the fundamentals of the sport as part of the certification process.
