Cambridge Community House supports local people and whānau through hardship with practical services including food support, financial mentoring, counselling and whānau support.

We recently delivered 20 FreshStarrt Care Kits, 20 Female Care Kits and 30 pairs of socks to help stock their essential support services. The team shared they are seeing an increase in homelessness and hardship locally, and that these care kits are a valuable resource for their first response to families, helping break down barriers and show that someone cares when it's needed most. Last Saturday, the North Island Boccia Championships brought together athletes from Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Whanganui, Wellington and Manawatū for a day of interregional competition at Massey University Gym.

Hosted by Parafed Manawatu, the tournament provided an opportunity for disability athletes to compete and connect. RRT was glad to support the day by serving 80 signature burgers and cake to participants 🙌 Thanks to Parafed for having us!

RRT Invercargill was glad to support local Police with a donation of RRT Products, helping stock practical supplies officers can access when supporting people in difficult circumstances.

Police shared that RRT Food Boxes are one of their most well received resources in the family harm space, particularly as financial pressure is a key stressor for some whānau.

They also noted that bringing an RRT product along on their visits can help create a point of connection and support engagement with hard-to-reach communities.
