[Roxas can be seen looking into the screen with a young chocobo looking over his shoulder, nuzzling his cheek occaisionally. Roxas gives a small smile]

I'm getting the hint that this little guy really likes me. He's been hanging around me for a while now. Speaking of which, I'm guessing the chocobos aren't going anywhere anytime soon since they're still around?

[It's true. Cloud feels more at home with chocobos than he does wandering around town. Or perhaps he just couldn't get away from the mother chocobo. Either way, here he was again, sitting at the edge of the nest and playing surrogate mother to the newly hatched golden chick. He's drying her feathers with his shirt and holding her close to keep her warm while the hen tended to the other chicks.]

Anyone have a clue how to take care of a chocobo?

It's been a while and we've still got our chocobo friends, so... Tifa and I were talking. How about we build a chocobo farm for them? It's got to beat just staying around the town for them. There's stuff about pens and stables, I don't know anything about that, but I can lift things and do work, so I'm game.

Anyone else?

[Oh hai there, residents of Never Was. It's been a while since you've seen your favorite flower girl around. And what has she been up to you might ask? Well, take a look at your pokegears; because you'll see nothing more but flowers, more flowers, and just all kinds of beautiful flowers everywhere. It won't be long until she turns the video towards herself.]

What do you think? The Moogles, Firion, and I have been hard at work tending to all of them. I think these are the best batch we've grown so far.

[She takes a deep breath, a warm smile on her lips.]

They even smell wonderful.

You know, I've been thinking about donating a few of the flowers to cover most of the town. It's been a long time since any one of us seen any flowers around, right? I think it could be a great community project. What does everyone think?

[And with that, she'll end the video for now.]

[ The feed turns on, the video jumpy as Gippal walks hurriedly away from a following chocobo. You can hear its kwehs as it trots behind, pecking every now and then at him. Gippal tries to swat the chocobo away to no avail. It coos in response. ]

Someone please tell me why I'm about as attractive as a bunch of Gysahl Greens to this chocobo right now. Hey - hey, not the hair, not the hair!


(ooc: HI! You may/may not have noticed that I haven't been around much lately - but never fear! I'm still here! I'm just super duper busy with university. Not much time for much at all.)

[The feed snaps on, but it shows no one. Instead, it pans around the horizon, taking in the surroundings. Someone's using it as a video camera, more or less.]

Wouldja look at that. First new sight I've seen in years. I dunno what's goin' on, but I guess my journey's not over.

Or maybe this is the Farplane.

Naw.

[The image wobbles slightly as the figure behind it sets it down. A moment later, Jecht walks into view, not looking at the feed.]

Guess I start recording my new journey here and now. I don't know if you'll follow me here someday, any more than I know if you'll follow me into Spira. Maybe with me here, you can't any more. But, uh...

[Jecht rubs the back of his hand, then looks over his shoulder at the feed.]

Look, just don't cry when ya see it, okay? I know that's askin' too much, but c'mon, kid. If you got all the way here you better have toughened up just a little.

 [The video opens up on Kuja surrounded by a multitude of multicolored chocobos, not only the ones from his world, but others as well. At the moment he's sidesaddle on a white chocobo, stroking its head with an odd fondness. Seems like the local jerkass is good with animals.]

Since most of you are familiar with chocobos, I don't suppose any of you have encountered these other colors? That is, mine has yellow, cyan, red, blue, and gold; the black, brown, green, and this white darling here are unfamiliar to me. I am most curious what properties they have.

[The "white darling" kwehs underneath Kuja, and he strokes its neck.]

[The feed clicks on a chick. He warks lightly, high pitched and flaps his wings a bit. He's not standing.]

You can do it.

[He warks again, flapping his wings a bit more desperately and then his mother appears and nudges him forward a bit. He doesn't take long before he tries to stand. At first it looks like he's going to fall but he holds his ground, flapping his wings again and he's got it! He kwehs happily, looking up at his mother who nudges him again before moving on.

The little chocobo looks straight at the mognet and kwehs again, quite proud of himself.]

I knew you could to it. [And the feed turns to Tifa who's smiling.]

They're cute, huh? [And the feed ends.

She pockets the device before holding her hand out to the small chocobo.]

Lets get you moving around, then. Did you see your mother? She was awfully proud of you.

[When the feed comes on, it's with some rattled bouncing on the ground, followed by an exasperated sigh from Squall.]

Cut it out. It's not food. [He lifts the Mognet up and the next thing you'll see is a bright yellow chocobo's face.] It's a communication device. See.

[There's a moment of silence, and then... WAAAARK! The chocobo starts trying to peck at it. Down to the ground it goes. Again.] ...Loud. Obnoxious. Too much energy. Even the hairstyle. All you'd need is the tattoo and you'd be Zell in chocobo form. [The feed is right-side up this time at least, and one can see the chocobo perk back up, tilting its head one way and then the other as it curiously peers at Squall. Then it pecks at the fur on his collar.]

Fine, fine. --Stop! [He waves the chocobo's face away.] If you stop trying to peck me to death, you can... come along. Or something. [As if it understood, the chocobo squawked gleefully and flapped its wings a bit.

...Frankly, Squall is awfully homesick and bored and... hell, the chocobo is company. Why not? He reaches over and pats the top of its head.]

(OoC: So, uh. Yeah. I couldn't help myself. This event is awesome. Come get harassed by Squall's new obnoxious chocobo BFF and take his mind off home? :3)
