I'm a graduate student in Japanese Studies at The University of Sheffield. I originally hail from St. Louis, Missouri, but opted to come to England to study Japan because it's cheaper, faster to get an MA, and one amazing (and intense) program.
I love the Japanese language, and am always trying to improve my reading, speaking, and writing ability in it. Feel free to send me a message in it, though be gentle; I'm still not very good at it yet.
Academic interests include racist stereotyping of Japanese and Americans to opposing sides during World War II, the meteoric rise and fall of Japanese "tarento", and the written works of Kenji Miyazawa.
Personal interests include traveling, sightseeing, exploring London, drinking copious amounts of tea, and video games.
I also love music and singing, but my days of doing so are, unfortunately, coming to a close.
