Right here at Richardson Park Elementary, we have our very own School-Based Wellness Center to support the health, safety, and well-being of our students and families!

What is the Wellness Center?
Our Wellness Center is a partnership between ChristianaCare and the Red Clay Consolidated School District, providing convenient, high-quality medical and mental health care right here at school—helping families overcome barriers like transportation, scheduling, and access to care. Our team includes a behavioral health therapist, pediatric nurse practitioner, a dietician, community health worker and a medical assistant.

Services available (at no cost to families):
✔ Physicals & health screenings
✔ Immunizations (including flu shots)
✔ Treatment for minor illnesses & injuries
✔ Nutrition and wellness support
✔ Individual, family & group counseling
✔ Crisis intervention & suicide prevention
✔ Health education and risk reduction

Important to know:
• Students must be registered before receiving services
• Pick up a registration packet at school (Main Office, Nurse, Guidance, or Wellness Center) or complete it online through our school website or click the link in our bio!
• No co-pays or deductibles, and no student is turned away based on ability to pay.

Richardson Park shined with pride and elegance last week during its annual Black Excellence Ball, an evening dedicated to celebrating achievement, black culture, and community leadership. Staff, students, families and community guests gathered in stunning formal attire for a night filled with inspiration, recognition, and joy.

The Black Excellence Ball continues to be a cornerstone event for Richardson Park — bringing school, local community organizations and neighbors together, honoring legacy, and celebrating a future filled with promise.

A huge thank you to Nikki and Nate from Special Olympics of Delaware for visiting Park today to host a mini conference with members of our Special Olympics/Best Buddies Team!

Our team had an amazing time learning, connecting, and growing together. Nikki and Nate shared valuable lessons on teamwork, communication, socialization, and so much more. The energy, enthusiasm, and positivity they brought made the experience truly special for everyone involved.

There will be no school on Monday, February 16th in observance of Presidents’ Day.

Presidents’ Day is a federal holiday that honors the leaders who have served as President of the United States. It was originally established to celebrate the birthday of George Washington, and now recognizes all U.S. presidents, including Abraham Lincoln.

We hope our students and families enjoy the long weekend! School will resume on Tuesday. 🇺🇸✨
