 | 10:57 pm - AMAZING.
YouTube commenter: "It is a truth universally acknowledged that a young man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of an uppercut to the jaw & a kick to the kneecap, followed by the removal of his wallet and running like hell."

| 10:20 pm - Banana bread! Oops, I just remembered that Sarah asked me for my banana bread recipe, um... a while ago. I'm posting it here so I can find it later...
Banana Bread! (yes, the exclamation point is part of the recipe) Preheat oven to 350, grease a pan (8x8 works nicely)
---- 2 c flour 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp allspice 1 tbsp cinnamon ---- 1/2 c brown sugar 1/2 c white sugar ---- 2/3 c margarine, warm (nuke it a teensy bit, but don't melt it too much) ---- 3 mushy bananas 1/2 c vanilla almond milk 1 tsp vanilla ---- 1/3 c chocolate chips ----
Mix the first five ingredients together, add both sugars, add the margarine, add the wet ingredients, add the chocolate chips. Bake at 350 for an hour. A little after it's out of the oven, put a tight-fitting lid on the pan before the bread cools all the way down, to lock in the ooey-gooey-ness. (Pyrex is WIN!)
(I started with the PPK recipe here, then tweaked it for increased awesome. And by awesome I mean moisture, chocolate, and spice levels.)
Oh, and it's vegan. And gooey and delicious. Coincidentally, I happen to have three questionable bananas on my counter...

 | 01:43 am - Fern Gully 2000: Now in 3D! So, Avatar. ( Only the vaguest of spoilers. Possibly involving a limb-number.Collapse )
Oddly enough, glowy blacklit rainforests are one of the only things I have seen totally sober this week. My drugs quickly went from :D to D: as the side effects kicked in and turned me into a wobbly ball of mush that could not form complex thoughts, or indeed stand up. I slept a LOT. My back pain is now better, but still present. I'm going to work tomorrow anyway, because staying on the sofa for a week is just making me weaker and dizzier. Hopefully my back will slowly fix itself, and I won't have to go back to the doctor. (The bill has not come yet. Eep.)
Current Food: I am still full of chocolaty regrets from a giant milkshake at the theater. Current Music: "A-Punk" - Vampire Weekend
ps - they're making Dante's Inferno into a video game. Because... that looks well-executed. Ew.

 | 12:43 am - Because getting things done makes too much sense Ok, so the latest Dinosaur Comic is itself so-so, but the accompanying videos are AMAZING, especially the ones in the comments section. The a capella version is good, but this one is definitely the best:
OMG I LOVE NERDS.
Current (Other) Music: Yeah, every time I got "Poker Face" stuck in my head at work today, I tried to get it out with Vampire Weekend's "Oxford Comma." Work today had a weird soundtrack.
