REU uses UtiliTrak, a system mapping software developed by the Central Service Association (CSA) using Smallworld GIS technology. This computer-based, GIS-driven system precisely maps and displays utility infrastructure relative to other features, making it indispensable for efficient operations. As a geospatial utility information system, UtiliTrak seamlessly maps an entire service area, manages data through a fully functional database, and enables modeling of geospatial relationships, analysis based on those models, and visualization through maps and reports. Its automated mapping and geospatial analysis capabilities provide utilities with powerful tools unavailable in non-GIS systems.
