About Me
I’m a Harvard-trained cardiothoracic anesthesiologist and cardiovascular ICU physician in the Texas Medical Center. I split my clinical time between the OR and ICU, caring for critically ill patients and training residents and fellows. Outside of work, I’m passionate about teaching, lifelong learning, technology, investing, and creating free, open-access medical education (FOAMed). My clinical interests are centered around the perioperative management of critically ill patients and include topics like ultrasonography, mechanical circulatory support, cardiovascular pathophysiology, ICU pharmacology, organ donation, and advanced monitors.
My medical reference apps incorporate updated information and guidelines from leading professional societies and were created to unify my interests in education, programming, and FOAMed in a way that can be useful to many! I develop apps in Xcode using Apple’s SwiftUI framework to build clean, content-focused interfaces.
They’re also free — no initial fee, no registration, and no subscription. If you have any feedback, contact me. If you want to buy me a coffee, I’ll take that too. 😃
