Gonna Go Back in Time!

Don't forget that Daylight Savings ends tonight, folks.

Set those clocks back and enjoy an extra hour of sleep!

Minding the Gap

I'm back as of late Friday night. A good time was had, many sights were seen, and lots of photos were taken. I will share all once I get them resized and uploaded and whatnot. After I do the many loads of laundry and other housework that was neglected for two weeks. So, you know, look out for that.

I woke up at 6:40am this morning. My internal clock seems to think that I'm still on British Summer Time, the stupid jerk. I guess this means I'll likely crash around 8pm tonight? Hmm.

Everyone is well, I hope?

Eleventy...I forget.

Happy Hobbit Day, ya'll!

I'm doing my part by walking around barefoot and reading instead of doing what I'm supposed to. Cheers!

Happy Canada Day, you hosers.

Just a warning.

Went and saw The Happening this morning. Best I can figure, what happened is I lost $8.50 and 1 hour and 45 minutes of my life (with trailers that were equally shit). Bleh.

I'm the guy with the gun.

Taken from indirajames, because it's too fun not to.

You are in a mall when the zombies attack. You have:
1. one weapon.
2. one song blasting on the speakers.
3. one famous person to fight alongside you.

Weapon can be real or fictional, you may assume endless ammo if applicable. Person can be real or fictional.

1.) A shotgun. It's simple, but highly effective. It's my experience, at least in gaming, that nothing is better for blasting back the deadies.
2.) "Singin' in the Rain" - Gene Kelly
3.) Ashley J. Williams and nobody else. Do I *really* need to elaborate?

Whole lotta shakin'

So I got woken up this morning around 5:37 to my house shaking. Initially I was pretty freaked, and at first thought it was a tornado. I hopped out of bed and looked out the window, and there were no tornado conditions. Turns out it was an earthquake tremor. Apparently a 5.4 hit originally in western Illinois and spread out quite a bit across the midwest. I'm not sure where all of you are located in the country here, but I hope englishkrisKristin and all the rest of you are okay and not too disoriented. This isn't California, and I know the rest of us aren't remotely used to the ground moving like that unless a big truck rolls by or a tornado is a comin'.

edit: The USGS are now saying it was a 5.2, not 5.4 as originally thought.

Great Scot!

Because someone reminded me that it's been 28 years (technically tomorrow in my time zone) since Bon passed.

sigh.
