March
a poem, month by month
March
The wind whispers her song through the trees, the sun warms up the earth.
Flurries may fall, but they are rare, unlike the crocuses that are popping up everywhere.
Daffodils and clovers, tiny buds on trees, birds singing symphonies that float on the breeze.
March marks rebirth, the earth comes back to life. Winter was spent well rested, but now we take flight.
This month is a gift, a beginning for you, to live by the sun and love by the moon.
Hope picks up speed, dusting off our winter blues, the crisp morning air refreshing and new.
The days will become longer, the nights a little less cold, and life will be well lived, with stories grandly told.
Green will soon surround us, soft colors beginning to show, and we will find our rhythm, a brand new flow.
March is the month that made me a mother. Two times, to be exact. My babies bringing joy even when the world feels cracked.
This month can mean many different things, each one of us remembering it for a unique quality it brings.
Motherhood and spring. Birth and revival. Whatever it is you see, I truly hope this month makes you smile.

Almost a year ago, as I started getting back into writing again, I set a simple goal that each month I would write a poem that resembles the month to me. Every month that I write one, I come back to center, reminding myself for who and why I’m actually writing. And that’s for the love of it.
💭 Tell me, what does March look like for you?
Thank you for spending your time with me today, I’m so glad you’re here!
Until next time ✌🏻
Here’s a few of my other monthly poems:
