February
a poem, month by month
Ink bleeds onto paper,
a love story preserved in time.
You keep yours, and I’ll keep mine;
we don’t have to tell anyone that they intertwine.
But what if we do? Can we shout it from the rooftops?
Walk down the streets, hand in hand like lovesick fools?
I think that would be beautiful, don’t you?
A love so pure it’s followed by light—
everyone deserves to see such a fantastical sight.
For love is spread easier than hate, despite what the devil
may trick you to believe of your fate.
He relishes in the thick clouds of sadness, he blows them around.
But we’re stronger, my dear, our love will always be found.
Theirs will, too, if they don’t shove them down the mine.
For that’s where dark things go to hide; but love deserves to shine!
I think we can do it, with love from me to you.
We’ll turn our blood into ink and bleed on paper, letting our hearts grow to keep the world from being blue.

This is such a wholesome piece by you Rion. I especially love the ink part—like turning something physical into proof that love exists. And that final line is soooooo visceral 🤭☺️ keep up the awesome work
